A: Setting a new standard in the firearms industry, Athena Gun Club proudly serves our diverse community as Houston’s largest gun club and indoor shooting range. Our premier firearms facility offers 26 state-of-the-art indoor lanes, a fleet of firearm rentals, including fully automatic machine guns, a dynamic live-action virtual simulator, on-site gunsmithing services, an interactive retail store, experienced instructors and specialized training programs, a VIP members-only lounge and boardroom, and over 40,000 square feet of modern event space available for both public and private events.
A: Yes, we have 26 shooting lanes, 7 of which are reserved for the VIP Club. The remaining 19 lanes are open to the public.
A: Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted to shoot on the range or use the simulator.
A: That’s not a problem. We have forms that allow parental authorization for minors to shoot with a third party. Click here to download form. Once completed, please email form to [email protected] along with a copy of your driver’s license or any other government issued photo ID.
A: No, in fact you are welcome to rent any one of over 80 firearms from our rental fleet which includes various types of handguns, shotguns, and semi-automatic rifles. You will be required to purchase our ammunition to use in our rental fleet.
A: Yes. All you need is a valid, government-issued photo ID (passport, ID card, Drivers license, etc) in order to use our range.
A: If you’ve never shot before, we require that you take the Firearm Rental Safety Course. This process only takes about 15 to 20 minutes and cost $25.
A: Yes. Reservations are $25/per lane/per hour. Reservation fees are waived for all members. If you book within 48 hours of your reservation and need to cancel, your reservation fee will be forfeited. If you are not in the building after 15 minutes of your reservation then your reservation will be given to the next available shooter and your reservation fee will be forfeited.

A: Yes. You may use your own firearm as long as it is in a safe and working condition. We require that any firearm over the caliber of .45 be declared to the staff prior to going on the range.
A: Yes, if you are bringing your own firearm; however, due to OSHA regulations, we do not allow aluminum or steel-cased ammo of any type in our facility. Re-loads are permitted; however, a release of liability waiver must be signed to do so. Reloads are not permitted for use in any of our rental guns. If ammo is left at Athena Gun Club for more than 30 days, it is subject to our disposal.
A: Yes. We allow you to shoot all rifles up to .50 BMG and shotguns with any load above #4 buckshot.
A: We want all of our guests to dress comfortably, but any clothing that creates a hazard or dangerous distraction or causes offense to other guests and/or staff is strictly prohibited at the Athena Gun Club. This includes baggy pants and clothing with offensive writing or images. Open-toed shoes are acceptable, but tennis shoes or other close-toed shoes are recommended on the shooting range. We reserve the right to refuse business to anyone dressed in a manner deemed inappropriate by the staff.
A: We are an all-indoor range so the farthest distance we have is 20 yards.
A: Yes. We allow you to present (draw) from the holster on the range after you are certified by an Athena instructor.

A: No, we do not allow any third party instructors to teach at Athena. All of our instructors are vetted and trained by the Athena executive team and have years of real-world military and/or law enforcement experience.

A: Yes. For $100 you can get your LTC from Athena Gun Club. Our LTC program includes 4-6 hours of state-mandated instruction, a written exam, and a firearms proficiency test. Athena will provide you with eye and ear protection, a box of ammunition, and if you do not own your own handgun, you may rent one from Athena. Check out our LTC Page to get signed up today.
A: We recommend anyone who is not already proficient with their firearm to take our Handgun Essentials class. For $165, you’ll receive private one-on-one instruction to teach you everything you need to own and operate your handgun in a safe and effective manner.
